2013 GENIVI Member Showcase

As the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show quickly approaches, OpenMobile is also preparing for our presence at the GENIVI Partner Showcase at the Trump Towers in Las Vegas, NV from January 7th to 9th! As a GENIVI Alliance Member, we have the opportunity to showcase ACL’s ability run Android Apps on non-Android In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) platforms.

Drive customers to your product by adding Android Apps to your IVI platform! Consumers want to be connected everywhere and demand increased accessibility to relevant Apps in the convenience of their vehicle. Drivers and passengers can play their favorite playlists from music-streaming Apps such as Pandora, Tune In, or Slacker Radio. Passengers are able to check the traffic and find a parking spot in the city with Apps such as Beat the Traffic, Waze, and Parkdroid. Kids in the backseat can stay entertained with a variety of games, and movie Apps like Netflix or YouTube. Enhance your IVI solution by adding Android Apps to your platform with OpenMobile’s ACL technology!

At the GENIVI Member Showcase, we will be demonstrating ACL running Android Apps on a non-Android In-Vehicle Infotainment platform. ACL enables Android Apps to run on any non-Android Operating System. Regardless of your platform, you can now offer customers access to Android Apps on your choice of device. Bring Android Apps to your IVI platform and keep a competitive edge in the industry!

If you want your GENIVI Compliant IVI platform to run Android Apps, reach out and set up a meeting with the OpenMobile team to learn more! Contact Roger Carlhammar, VP of OEM Sales, at rcarlhammar@openmobileww.com to schedule a meeting – we look forward to hearing from you!

ACL for webOS Update

ACL for webOS fans and followers,

Thank you so very much for your continued support and enthusiasm in OpenMobile! We are so glad that we already have such a strong passion towards ACL for webOS. Our post on the webOS Nation forum said it best and it is true… we expect to have the webOS port in the market in Q3 2012!

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates and information! Our engineers are hard at work to develop ACL across many platforms, including webOS, and we will post another update when we have more to share.
